History of the College

District Sitapur is located about 80 Kms from state capital towards North-East. Due to closeness of the district with Lucknow, not many good and quality oriented higher education institutions were there in Sitapur. And very few students could afford to go to Lucknow and other cities for higher studies. Majority of the students, particularly girls, could not pursue higher education due to virtually non existence of good institutions in Sitapur. Shri. D. P. Verma Memorial College was established in 2007 to fill up this gap. The aim of the college is to impart very high quality education to the young people of Sitapur.

The College is located at 6 Kms from the city on Sitapur-Shahjahanpur road (NH-24). The landscape of the college is very natural surrounded by green pastures. The natural environment is the most suitable for learning and knowledge acquisition.

The College is equipped with the state-of-the-art technologies such as Internet and email. We are planning to make e-classrooms in near future.

At present college offers undergraduate degree courses (Social Sciences). We intend to offer post graduate courses in near future. We might start job oriented courses on demanded.
